Defends Summer Splash Title The Birmingham Swim League defended its team title at the recent BSL Summer Splash in Tuscaloosa, AL. Both the mens and womens teams also won their team competitions, with the women scoring a whopping 2,330 points. Leading the way with high point wins were Katrina Chapman, Genny Pittman, and Mallory Mathias. The meet also added several new Southeastern qualifiers, which brings BSL's total to 50 swimmers qualified for this season's championship meet. Achieving those times, as well as other BSL Stepping Stone Cuts were: Silver: Leigh Hendry, Mallory Mathias, Madeline Pitt, and Genny Pittman Bronze: Nicholas Confessore, Michael Correro, Will Freeman, Chris Giesen, and Scott Phillips SEQT: Emily Allen, Katelyn Duke, Julia Etterer, Elizabeth Fix, Anna Laura Held, Madeline Held, Corey Holmes, Kirill Korygin, Elizabeth Lapham, Ana Mernik, Lydia Mullins, Grace Pitt, Andrew Reeves, Ali Smith, Sam Stanley, and Ashley Tucker Blue: Salvatore Cuneo, Joe Etterer, Clarie Johnson, Adam Snyder, Erica Wei, and Savannah Wright Red: Mary Cash, Caroline Causey, Miles Duke, Jamie Gregg, Buddy Holsombeck, Lauren Lamerton, and Bryan Leiter White: Matthew Kundler and Andrew Mullins BSL will continue its terrific long course season at the Y-Spartaquatics (Spartanburg, SC) Firecracker Invitational.
